To make the iTunes logo I drew reference from the real logo to get the size and colours right. The iTunes logo you see is the one I created. After this, I just copied it, changed the colours and logo image to a rocketship to make my own StarKid Logo.
Following these tutorials as best as I could, I created this 3D shield and emblem design on Illustrator. Though this works well, the lighting on the different gradients doesn't look very consistent, however I am pleased with the glossy look of the shield.
